- Understand your priorities and needs as they relate to energy
- Review your electric bills and identify savings opportunity
- Answer any/all questions you may have about how to go solar

When you’re ready, we’ll finalize and sign the contract, allowing us to proceed with your project.
Step 4: Applications and Permitting
ARS will handle all applications for interconnection with your utility provider and permitting with your township.
We will keep you informed and updated as each step is completed.
Step 5: Installation and Inspections
A typical solar installation takes just one or two days. Once our residential solar panel installers finish, we will schedule inspections with the municipality and utility.
Step 6: State incentive program applications and finalization
When your system has been inspected and turned on, there is one final step necessary to secure all financial incentives associated with your new system.
ARS will complete and submit all the necessary paperwork to get your incentives secured for you.

How Do Residential Solar Panel Systems Work?
Curious about how residential solar systems generate green energy? It all starts with photovoltaic cells in the panels that absorb sunlight and convert it into direct current (DC) electricity. Since your home uses alternating current (AC) electricity, micro-inverters or a system inverter is used to convert the DC electricity into AC electricity.
If your solar panels produce more energy than you need, the excess energy is sent to the local grid in exchange for credits through a process called net metering. This means a solar panel installation can not only power your home but also save you money!
